Information We Collect
Clarifian collects minimal data. Project files (JSON) are stored locally on your device. We do not collect personal information, create user accounts, or use analytics tracking.
How We Use Information
Chat messages you send are processed through our backend (Node.js BFF) and forwarded to OpenRouter for AI processing. GitHub repository data is fetched via GitHub API using tokens you provide. We do not store, log, or retain this data on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
Data Storage
All project data — including your model, views, chat history, and credentials — is stored in a single JSON file on your local machine. We follow the draw.io pattern: your data lives with you, not on our infrastructure.
Third-Party Services
We use OpenRouter to process AI requests. Your chat messages are sent to OpenRouter and processed by their selected LLM providers. We use GitHub API to fetch repository status data. Please review the privacy policies of OpenRouter and GitHub.
Data Retention
We do not retain your data. All processing is stateless — requests are proxied and not logged. Your local JSON file is the only persistent store.
Your Rights
Since we don't store your data, there is nothing to delete, export, or correct on our end. You control your project files entirely.
Children's Privacy
Clarifian is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
